Star Wars Star Fighter Blueprint Lines
Growing up playing the classics
If you grew up like us not only into Star Wars but also playing the Space Flight Simulators like X-wing, TIE Fighter and X-wing Alliance then you probably know a thing or 2 about the specifications of most of the Star Fighters in the universe, you'd know that the base speed of the X-wing is 100 MGLT and that it is 120 MGLT for an A-wing. You would also know how many torpedoes an X-wing carries (6) and how many laser cannons a TIE Defender has (4 with 2 additional ION cannons). We could keep going but if you are like us, you will already know all of this information.
The Blueprints
Being as into Star Wars and its star fighters as we are, we of course had come across blue prints like the one you see on the left here. Since our first and foremost thought when designing our products is "what do we want to wear", the idea of making a design that was about the specifications of our beloved star fighters. The difficulty was using existing specifications and blueprints and scaling them up a resolution that would be high enough to go on our products as well incorporating the blueprint style on the product itself.
The Design
Of course, the X-wing is our favourite but the B-wing has a special place in our hearts for some reason so we actually went and designed that first. the overall T-shirt colour is the same as the blue print paper and to prevent mismatching at the seams, we opted to not have the blueprint lines continue towards the edges. We opted to have parts of the blueprint on the front and the back instead of just the front as we felt this would make it a more holistic feeling design. On the sleeves we added the manufacturer logo, in the case of the B-wing that is of course Slayn & Korpil.
The Final Product
As your used to from us, we of course made a version for both Men and Women to ensure a perfect fit for either! So far we have done a design for the X-wing and B-wing: which one would you like to see us do next?
